This is a record of a 6-day early morning special winter training course held at National Karate Institute, Los Angeles, in January 2008. The course was instructed by Master Hidetaka Nishiyama, 9th dan.

There are many clear demonstrations and work with assistants on the most important of the fundamental principles of traditional karate: center, movement, reaction, ki-ai.
